How Do They Make Your Stay Special? Our Experience Designers Share 5 Stories & Itineraries
It’s called the Experience Design Team, it’s totally free to
use, and here’s a little
more about how it all works.
In a nutshell, it allows you to connect with a real person who’ll
work with you one-on-one to arrange anything and everything you want to
experience during your time here. Especially if it’s your first visit, it’s a
terrific way to make sense of all that’s available – not only on resort grounds
but nearby attractions as well.
Rather than tell you more about how it works, we’ll show
you. Hear from three of our Experience Designers – Sarah, Joe and Nikki – about
just a couple of the experiences they have customized for guests.

Ali’s Visit to Relax & Reminisce
Ali reached out to me looking to book a surprise stay for
her aunt and mother. The two women had recently lost their mother, so Ali, as
well as the rest of their family, wanted to come together and treat the women
to a relaxing vacation. Ali and I spoke for months coordinating plans for the
women. I booked them a Premium room with two queen beds and a nice view. I made
them dinner reservations at 1875: The Steakhouse for their first night. The
next day, they had a full spa day planned. The women enjoyed several services
including manicures, pedicures, facials, clay wraps and massages. After their
relaxing day, they enjoyed in-room dining as they chatted and reminisced about
good times with their mother.

Lynne’s Special Mother-Daughter Time
Lynne is bringing her daughters, ages 9 and 12, to our resort. This is not only their first trip to our resort, but their first trip out since Lynne’s husband, the father of the children, passed in January. We planned dining with live music at Ballard’s in the Atrium, breakfast at CafĂ© Sinclair’s, and FootGolf. They plan on making a trip to French Licks for ice cream and shopping and may try the Al Capone escape room at Escape French Lick if it rains.
Elizabeth & Rebecca’s Outing with a Surprise Proposal
I reached out to Elizabeth and Rebecca and discovered they were visiting as Elizabeth’s son was planning a surprise proposal at the French Lick Winery. They had a total of 18 guests and were ecstatic when I mentioned and help coordinate our complimentary transportation service. They used it to the winery then to the West Baden Springs Hotel where a carriage ride awaited the newly engaged couple as the remainder of the group enjoyed cocktails and live music in the atrium. The newly engaged couple were the only guests staying multiple nights, so I help Elizabeth and Rebecca each add a $100 dining credit to their room so the couple would be free to dine at their choice of venues.

Andrew’s Golf Buddy Reunion
Andrew has been planning a golf trip with his buddies. His
friends are from multiple states. He is excited since it has been a long
time since he has seen them. Some of them are traveling as far as California
and Illinois too! Currently, he must be flexible with his dates of
arrival, so we are working with him to make sure that every one of his guests
is accommodated.
After speaking with some of the guests in his group, he had called back to extend his stay and upgrade his golf package from the Hall of Fame to include a third course for the Indiana Golf Sampler and make the most of their time together. He has the most popular venue for fine dining scheduled at the 1875: The Steakhouse. Once the group’s travel arrangements are made for their flights, I am following up with him for transportation from the Louisville Airport for some of them to share a ride. He had stated that he is looking forward to his cigar and Woodford Reserve after a great golf game at The Pete Dye Course and loves the fact that we have replays with the packages.
The quality time and the easiness of assistance that we
provide for the guests has made him happy, and I know that he is looking
forward to a much-needed trip to make new memories!
